Last week we came across this fantastically funny wedding toast and we couldn't help but share it. But what we also realized was that these two girls are singing their wedding toast in After Six bridesmaid dresses! We love it!
Are you a maid of honor at a wedding soon? Here are three quick tips about giving a wedding toast:
Keep the toast within a reasonable amount of time: Don't go too long or too short, keep it at no more than five minutes, unless you are the two girls in the video, then go as long as you want!
Get Creative: Feel free to sing and even dance your wedding toast, think outside the box when it comes to giving your wedding toast to the happy couple.
Practice Before the Wedding: We are sure these two girls in the video practiced (or maybe not!) before the wedding. Whether you are talking or singing your wedding toast, make sure to practice before the wedding, especially if standing up in front of people is a little scary for you.

While we all think the typical static group shot of your bridesmaids is always the best, lately that isn't necessarily the case. While static photos give you a great shot of you and your girls and the dresses and every little detail, photographers today are going more candid when it comes to bridesmaid photos.
So what kind of photos should you have of your bridesmaids? Here are some ideas:
A View From the Back: You'll see it all over Pinterest, in other wedding photos you come across, today photographers are taking shots of bridesmaids with locked arms from the back. It offers a more casual yet intimate feel of the bride and her bridesmaids while still giving an overall view of the bridesmaids.
Before the Wedding Photos: Pictures of the girls helping the bride, or getting ready if the bridesmaids are getting ready all together. Little details also include close ups of the hair, the face and details of the dresses.
Fun and Crazy Poses of Bridesmaids: Girls just want to have fun! And they are when it comes to taking pictures, whether it's crazy group shots where each girl is making a different face or doing a different pose, it's all about having fun.
Down the Aisle Shots: Another popular photo are the girls standing along side the bride, this isn't new, but you will find photographers shooting specific details like a facial expression or a floral bouquet or they will take an overview shot to include the bride, the groom and the bridesmaids looking on.
Pictures Between Pictures: You will see photographers while prepping the bridesmaids and the bride for the formal photos, they will take in between shots, of the girls laughing and talking amongst themselves or with the bride. This also provides a more intimate look and feel of what the day was like for everyone, and it is memorable too.

In 2014, when actress Eva Longoria was a bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding she wore our Dessy Collection Style 2905 and we were over the moon about it! She wore the dress in lilac and looked absolutely stunning.
It seems lately however, blue is very popular this season for bridesmaids, and why wouldn't it be? It's vibrant, it's will definitely catch your eye, no matter what shade of blue it is. It is just a beautiful color for a summer and even an early fall wedding.
You can pair this color with silver or gold accessories and either one will look perfect with the dress. Or give your blue more pops of color with vibrant fuchsias and other shades of pinks!

What we also loved about these particular bridesmaids; was that grooms Trifon and David gave each of the bridesmaids unique pieces of turquoise jewelry, according to Little Black Book blog by Style Me Pretty.
The bridesmaids also wore dark blue pashmina shawls, which looked so elegant with this dress. Looking for pashminas and unique jewelry pieces for your bridesmaids? Check out all of our beautiful accessories at Dessy.com!
