Historic backdrop: Magdalene College Cambridge Wedding

A romantic Magdalene College wedding in Cambridge. Given to us by young and upcoming photographer Alex Beckett. Take it away Alex!

If there's a topic of conversation us Brits are famous for the world over it's the weather. From Durham nestling in the Northern borders of England where Lucinda and Georg met through to the famous University City of Cambridge where they now live, the topic of weather is never far from the mouths of a true Brit.

"Wow, you picked a good day for it," was my greeting to Lucinda when I met her just prior to her jumping into the dress. You see, the rest of the week had been filled with cloud and rain. However when I woke up on that Saturday morning I was greeted with a lovely crisp (if cold) Autumnal day. Lucinda had booked the weather.

And a good job it was too for it meant they could have their beautiful wedding under the cloisters of Magdalene College. After being greeted by a very proud father Lucinda headed out for the mixed English/German ceremony.

The ceremony felt really special. The enclosed cloisters mixed with those moving wedding vows made the ceremony feel very intimate. Not something I expected given the size of the space and just how cold it was!
