Useful Websites for Brides

Writing a blog, I get to see a lot of wedding orientated websites. Some I'll only visit once or twice. Others I come back to time and time again for wedding inspiration and up to date information.

I thought I'd list my current top recommendations to help brides like you plan and create your big day.

1. The Handcrafted Card Company. If you're the crafty DIY wedding type looking to create your own wedding stationery, this is where you'll find decorative papers, diamanté, envelopes ... def worth a visit.

2. Wedding Ideas Magazine The UK's top-selling handbag sized bridal mag also has a great website with a really useful supplier directory and a constant stream of competitions to win prizes like a honeymoon in Thailand.

3. Etsy If you haven't discovered Etsy yet, you're in for a real treat. More than 400,000 suppliers are listed here, offering creative and unusual ideas for everything from feather fans for bridesmaids to photo puzzle wedding guest books.

8. Wonderland Avenue A good place to start looking for wedding photographers and comparing photographic styles. Featuring real weddings shot by photographers from Glasgow to London.

4. I am Staggered. Strictly I suppose this is a wedding website for blokes, but it's very funny, informative and one that you should draw to your fiancé's attention. Titles of articles include matters like "The Most Over-Used Wedding Speech Jokes" and "A Marriage Proposal Masterclass".

6. The Wedding of my Dreams Some lovely finishing touches for your wedding décor on offer here. Wooden crates for creating rustic flower arrangements, stripy candy bags for your sweetie table, lanterns for outdoor weddings ...

7. My Fabric House. Another fabulous website for brides planning to create a lot of their own wedding décor. Here's where you'll find wonderful fabrics for tablecloths, napkins and bunting, buttons, lace, trims...

10. Rainbow Club Want your wedding shoes to match your wedding flowers? The company will handcolour shoes to match practically any colour choice and offer decorative buckles and embellishments to accessorise your footwear.
