Silhouettes, cameos - I just saw this idea for personalised wedding stationery featuring a bride and groom's portraits.

These silhouette images would look beautiful framed as a showpiece after your wedding day. A romantic memento of your big day.

Created by Noble Fine Art, you can continue this cameo-style theme throughout your stationery, from save-the-date cards, orders of service, menus, placenames - all featuring you and your fiancé.

Just send Noble Fine Art a photograph of yourselves ( taken side on) and they will create your own bespoke image.

Tips for Choosing Wedding Stationery

by Julia Noble of Noble Fine Art

Give yourselves plenty of time to chat to stationers: 6-12 months, so you can decide on the right design and price.

Don't be afraid to tell your stationer your budget, most will be able to offer some suggestions to help save cost.

Timelines are very important, your RSVP date should be 6-8 weeks before your wedding, and invitations sent to your guests 6 weeks before your RSVP date. Many stationers in busy times can take 6 weeks to produce so that means stationery needs to be ordered early to avoid any stress.

How far in advance should save-the-dates and then wedding invitations be sent out?

Save-the-dates can be sent out as early as two years in advance, especially if it's a Christmas wedding although most are eight-twelve months before. Wedding invitations should go out three months before and earlier if you have many travelling from abroad.

Thanks to Julia for these invaluable wedding stationery tips.
