From the moment they pop through the letterbox, your wedding cards and invitations are going to say a lot about the day you've planned. Here's how to get the look that's right for you.
1. Exotic Ethnic
If you love colour and vibrancy, then you could add a sprinkle of ethnic to your wedding invitations, like this one shown above by Ananya Cards (Paisley Promise design). Perfect if colour is going to form a big part of your wedding theme.
2. Traditional
If you're a traditionalist (big white wedding, marquee in garden, string quartet playing in background, country church ...) then you might like to go the classic route and have a wedding invitation with timeless black script on white card. This sort of card is never wrong - it might not be the most exciting option but it's never out of place and looks wonderful on the mantelpiece.
3. Quirky
Getting married in a coloured wedding dress? Planning some funky reportage photography? Then you've all sorts of options to make your wedding invitations memorable. I like this idea of turning a ticket into a wedding invitation - it's certainly going to start a conversation and gives your guests a good impression of the style of event you're planning (and your personalities). 4. Rustic
Planning a country-style wedding in summer? Maybe in a barn? Then a wedding invitation like this would suit the occasion perfectly. This one is via Not On The High Street.
5. Sleek & Sophisticated
City centre weddings have an elegance all of their own. If you received this invitation you'd know that you were invited to an extremely stylish and luxe occasion. Having a folder to keep all the parts of the invitation together presents it beautifully. This one has been designed by J Grace.
6. Embellished
Are you a vintage kind of wedding bride? Want an invitation that's decorative? Look out for invitations that are laser cut - which gives you great pattern options. Then add ribbons and diamanté touches to complete the look. Invitation by Wedding Paraphernalia.
7. Personalised
To be honest, all wedding invitations are personalised really - as they feature the names of the couple getting married, the dates and the venue. But you could go a step further by having an illustration of the two of you done - as in this invitation by Katy Halford.
8. DIY
If you've got a keen eye on your budget, you're artistic and you've got time to craft, then look into some of the DIY wedding invitation kits that are about. Imagine DIY have some stunning and creative ideas, like this invitation featured above.
