Bold Wedding Colours

I looked at the joyous combo of rainbow coloured bridesmaids dresses last week and as I was researching them, I came across so many examples of bold wedding colours that I just had to share a few of them with you.

I think that one of my favourite is the vibrant purple with yellow captured by Dixon Digital Photography for Tara Nicole Weddings and Events as shown above and immediately below.

It definitely takes a certain bride and groom to carry off such clashing colours but they did it with such style and pizzazz that it looked fabulous - you can't help but feel uplifted by such energy.

Another great example of a bold colour scheme is this wedding, taken by the talented Michael Radford Photography, which combines midnight blue, dark red, green and yellow - not an immediately obvious combination but doesn't it look just great?

I guess not unsurprisingly, sunflowers feature quite large in bold colour schemes and I know that I've featured some of these before, but they really do tick the box for this blog so I've rounded them up again! And because I just LOVE pinks - of every hue - I had to include these joyous shots by Gia Canali Photography. Like no other she has captured the type of bride who goes for bold wedding colours - look at that grin of pure happiness as the beautiful lady is escorted up the aisle by her very proud father, the bright pink balloons waving around in ecstatic agreement. How clever too of the bridal party to organise matching pink parasols for the guests to keep off the heat of the day. And at the Wedding Breakfast later, goblets of vibrant pink flowers adorn the tables with little pops of purple muscari to add depth, interest and of course a beautiful scent.

And to round the whole thing off, what about this absolutely brilliant brightly coloured posy by Helen Jane Floristry? Weddings don't get much bolder than that!
